The Club

About the Club

Stalybridge Photographic Club is a friendly club, which has grown from its beginnings in 1979 to now having a membership of more than thirty. Members come from all walks of life and have a wide range of photographic abilities, skills and knowledge, which they are only too willing to share with others in a club environment.

Members produce prints and images for projection [the Club possesses equipment to support these activities] and there is a comprehensive programme during the year. Meetings are a mixture of photographic opportunities, guest speakers, image manipulation sessions, competitions and image assessment and enhancement.

New members of all levels of ability are always welcome.

Why not come along to a meeting and see for yourself, the first three visits are free?"

All enquiries about membership can be addressed to the Membership Secretary.

A message from our Chairman

First of all I would like to say thank you for electing me as your new Chairman.

I would like to take this opportunity to give my personal thanks to Keith for the many years of dedication to this club as chairman. I'm sure you will all agree with me that Keith has done a fantastic job in guiding this club to where we are today. Keith has decided to remain on the committee as Competition Secretary and also to give a guiding hand to me when I need it. I only hope that I can continue in the same vein and lead this club into an even brighter future.

Keith you have left very big foot prints for me to follow. But I will do my best.

I would also like to acknowlegde the loyalty of the membership thoughout the difficult months of the Covid_19 pandemic in keeping the Club active via online meetings.
